Morning so early in that big room, he did go.
In that gray chair, brown table, and cool
air that would blow,
Thats started his day, in a city, he's at helm.
Public service it is called,
his world and his realm.

Soon throng of well-wishers
would come and enter and call.
With smile so sincere, he would welcome them all.
Some would seek help, with sad stories to tell.
His ears upon them
til he give someone a bell.

To that someone, coffee he would ask
for him and his guests to savor, to sip.
This he said, he needed, to keep his vigor and peep,
More callers would come, more help they will seek.
Non-stop, he would listen, from morn til day break.

Many things in his mind with his staff,
he would meet.
Their advise he would ask,
but with deadline to beat.
In that meeting all laughter
would soon fill that big room.
The Jokes he would crack,
all that voices would boom.

Many had thoughts, all in him, all is well,
Never we knew, something bad that did dwell.
Soon we all know, that big room he did leave,

Never to come back, he's no more, we all grieve.

Oh Fortune, Our Fortune, Our Mayor, our boss.
Your passing away, we suffered the loss,
United you said, that's what Sagaynons should be,
The task you left us, will see light, that we'll see.

Oh Fortune, Our Fortune, your earthly stay is done.
Your laughter now silenced,
Since you are gone.
In that world beyond, you are there, there you are,
Our Creator you'll meet,
You're near Him, you're not far.
